Dr. Flomoku G. Miller is a Liberian Pharmacist Licensed by the Pharmacy Board of Liberia after completing one year of internship with the Ministry of Health in Liberia. From 2015 to present, he has worked with the Liberia Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Authority (LMHRA) as a Volunteer, an Intern Pharmacist, an Assistant Regulatory Officer and currently, as the Technical Advisor (TA) to the Managing Director. Previously, he played lead role (Manager of Unit) in Research, Data and Record Management. He is a member of the LMHRA GMP Team.
Before all of this, Dr. Miller graduated from the St. Kizito Catholic High School in 2004 and earned a Diploma. That same year, he enrolled at the Cuttington University in Suakoko, Bong County, Liberia. In 2008, he graduated with a BSc. Degree in Biology. He enlisted as a National Volunteer in 2008 for one year and served his country Liberia as a National Volunteer. In 2010, he began his professional studies in Pharmacy at the University of Liberia. He spent an extra one year in School of Pharmacy due to the outbreak of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease in Liberia after which he graduated in 2015 and earned a B.Pharm Degree in Pharmacy. His thesis was published by “Journal of Pharmacy and Bioresources” in 2014.
Dr. Flomoku G. Miller have been awarded many Certificates over the years; firstly, by the Republic of Liberia as a National Volunteer and then jointly, by Liberia’s Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (Health Worker Clinical and Nonclinical Training Course for Ebola treatment in Liberia). Additionally, he was awarded by the Access Training Institute (Liberia) a certificate in Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain Management. Dr. Miller was certificated in Liberia by USP as a Medicines Dossier Evaluator. To date, Dr. Miller has undertaken five GMP trainings. Each from: USP (Monrovia, Liberia), CePAT (Accra, Ghana), Swissmedic (Bern, Switzerland), USP (Accra, Ghana) and WAHO (Lagos, Nigeria). As a delegate, he represented the LMHRA at the “9th International Conference on Pharmaceutical GMP, GCP & Regulatory Affairs” in Chicago, USA.
In October of 2019, Dr. Miller was again trained by USP Ghana, in Medicines Dossier evaluation and Compilation. In the same month, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the African Union Scientific, Technical and Research Commission (AU-STRC) selected Dr. Miller for a Hands-on Training in Research Methodology & Biostatistical Analysis organized by the ICMR-National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) in Noida, India. Dr. Miller successfully took on the training and was awarded a certificate. In March 2020, Dr. Miller underwent a training in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015).
In February 2020, Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD). He is currently a member of the Pharmaceutical Association of Liberia (PAL).
